Adopt-A-Family
The holiday season is often a difficult time for families in need. Sponsoring families is a way to help ensure that every child has something to look forward to and presents to open on Christmas morning. Axyon Consulting is happy to team up with the Collin County Children’s Advocacy Center, Houston Children’s Charities, and the Salvation Army Angel Tree to connect with these families and help to make the holiday happier for all of us.
SIRE Boots & Bonnets Charity Gala
SIRE is a therapeutic equestrian center in Houston that provides services to disabled children and adults. It has been known for years that therapeutic horseback riding can provide sensory stimulation to the body and mind of the rider, which affects different muscle groups and brain functions. Horseback riding can serve as a natural way for the body to achieve normal motion and improved motor coordination. The motion of horseback riding actually helps stiff or spastic muscle conditions to relax. We are pleased to provide assistance to SIRE so that they can continue their proud tradition and help increase the comfort and joy of people with disabilities.
Ronald McDonald House Charities
The Ronald McDonald House Charities provides a home-away-from-home for families to be able to stay close to their children in the hospital. Staying together as a family helps in the healing process. When families stay at a Ronald McDonald House they can communicate easier with their children’s medical team in addition to focusing on their child’s well being, and not the everyday struggles of life. Even if families are thousands of miles away from their homes, the Ronald McDonald House allows families with specialized medical needs to have a home near the treatment facility. The team at Axyon has been privileged to sponsor several different entertainment nights for the families staying at the Dallas Ronald McDonald House.
Care Packages for our Troops
For the past several years the United States has had more than 150,000 troops deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. These brave young men and women are far from their homes and families and in many cases far from the comforts of civilization. The team at Axyon Consulting takes enormous pride in our servicemen overseas and we’re glad to support in any way we can including sending care packages and Girl Scout Cookies.
Susan G. Komen Foundation 3-Day for the Cure
Komen for the Cure is the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, and ensure quality care for all. The Komen 3-Day for the Cure is a three day, 60 mile walk held in cities across the country which annually raises millions of dollars to support breast cancer care and research. Each year Axyon Consulting sponsors their own team of walkers, The Axyon Asphalt Angels who proudly raise money and walk in this inspiring event.
Cardiovascular Disease is the number one cause of death in America, and congenital cardiovascular defects are the most common cause of death due to birth defects. The funds raised at the Dallas Heart Walk supports projects that put cutting edge research into doctors’ hands, providing life-saving information, and contributing to pediatric heart and stroke research
